In this example I will be using a child theme of the CDN version of the "Bootstrap 3" theme. You can see what the gallery will look like by browsing through any of the hiking galleries on my website.
This tutorial is based on the excellent "Colorbox for Drupal 7, part 3: Building a image gallery and a image slideshow".
I am always grateful for the unstinting help and support I am usually given. But I have also had some experiences that can only be called bad. Where ego or laziness have sometimes made things very difficult for everybody (if you don't want to do the work – then don't volunteer!) But none the less, not one of the films I have made or been involved with would have been possible without the help of others (often arduous work and always unpaid.) So a great big “thank you” to the many that have helped me with my projects.
The lighthouse on Tasman Island off the tip of Cape Pillar. An easy day walk. I only did this trek because I fellow hiker I met on the trail on another walk mentioned it as something everyone should visit if they are in Tasmania. I'd never heard of it before that. I'm very glad he told me about it. Magnificent doesn't begin to describe it. There are a lot of fantastic places to visit in Tasmania that are not really hikes. Just easy day walks or even just half day walks. Would you like to see some more images from Cape Pillar and other places in Tasmania?
King Davids Peak in the Walls of Jerusalem National Park in Tasmania. A beautiful place with thousands of lakes, ancient stands of King Billy Pine and rocky bluffs and cliffs. I've been told that from the nearby Mount Jerusalem you can see over four thousand lakes great and small. I'd believe it. Would you like to see some more photos of the Walls of Jerusalem?
Mt Eadley Stoney and The Bluff under snow. With, I might add, more snow on the way. This was taken in winter on the track between Lovicks Hut and Bluff Hut. I resisted for many years walking in snow (nasty stuff that it is), but I've come to enjoy it. It makes familiar terrain look completely different and adds real challenge to even easy treks. Would you like to see some more photos of the snow?
Mount Anne in Tasmania's rugged South West National Park. You can easily do the trip to Mt Anne from the car park in one day but it's really worth it to hang around for a few days at least and explore. Or, if you feel like a bit more of a challenge, do the round trip that goes past The Lonely Tarns and Mt Lot. Would you like to see some more photos of Mt Anne and surrounds?
McKinlay Bluff from Mt John Roberts in the Vulkathunha - Gammon Ranges National Park in South Australia. A great place to bush walk. Apart from a few four wheel drive tracks and the main road, there are no real tracks. You can walk the ridges, spurs and main ranges or the deep gorges in between. There is really nothing to stop you walking in any direction or to any particular place. Just make sure to check with the rangers for which water holes actually have water in them. As the availability of water is the only real constraint. Would you like to see more photos?
Lake Oberon in Tasmania's Western Arthurs Range on a sunny and very calm day. But to make up for that, I have had two white Christmas'. Both of them beside Lake Oberon. It is a pretty full on bush walk and in bad weather (boy, could I tell you stories about the weather in the Arthurs) can be pretty miserable and dangerous. But it's the sheer bloody ruggedness of it that makes it worth the visit. Would you like to see some more photos of the Western Arthurs?
Clytemnestra photographed on the way to Frenchmans Cap in Tasmania. This is a great hike if you like mud - and plenty of it! But it is also a great place to visit. Not just for Frenchmans Cap itself but the trip there passes some lovely places that make that first day crossing the "sodden Loddon" plains a small price to pay. But if you ever do this hike I would advise you to invest in a really good pair of gaiters.
